What do Uber and Rolls Royce have in common?

How about Ruth’s Chris and Mortons Steakhouse?

They all have black logos. The big question is why?

Personally I never consider the color of something before I buy it. But as it turns out I do, subconsciously. The color of your product, web page, logo, car, shirt and tattoo have a massive impact on how people perceive you.

Studies have shown that we attach premium quality to the color black and we attach clearance sales and blow-out savings with the color red. Even though you have never paid attention to color it doesn’t change the fact that they have a very large impact on what you buy and how you interact with people.

Recently KISSmetrics published an infographic on the power that colors have on our perception and buying habits. We’ve turned it into a video! (because that’s what we do)
